Arranging a Funeral!
Your first contact after the death of a family member or close friend is usually the Funeral Director who will advise you on the Legalities and Formalities required for a Funeral.
Inform the Funeral Director that you wish to use Ron Samuel as Funeral Celebrant.
The Funeral Director will contact me as soon as possible to confirm my availability and to give me the pertinent details.
I will call you immediately and arrange to meet with you and any members of the family whom you think should be involved in the funeral arrangements. It is important to note that the Next of Kin of the deceased has the legal right to make arrangements for the funeral. Where possible he/she should be present at the meeting or should at least give consent for the arrangements to be made by others.
At our first meeting I will ask for information about the deceased in the form of a questionnaire that I have designed. This will give me all I need to know so that I am enabled to create a Funeral Ceremony for your departed that will truly reflect their life.
At this meeting i will also discuss with you the format of the Funeral Ceremony including whether you want someone in the family to read the eulogy, whether you want me as your Funeral Celebrant to read the eulogy, whether you want anyone else to do a reading or say a few words, what type of music you want played, whether there is a necessity or desire to include service organisations such as RSL, Rotary, Freemasons, etc, whether there are any personal tributes or possessions you want displayed and anything else that will help you during the Funeral Ceremony.
